Dear Parent:

Your son or daughter is enrolled in my Tech Apps class at Ponder Junior High this year.  It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to help your child with these computer skills.  Tech Apps is conducted in a business-like manner as we strive to help each student master:  keyboarding, word, excel, publisher, power point, and database as well as many more things concerned with technology.

Class assignments will be given daily as learning activities and are an important part in improving understanding of the various concepts.  A minimum average of 70 is required to receive credit in the course.  All make-up work will be the responsibility of the student and work will be accepted for excused absences only.  Students are expected to complete all assignments in an acceptable manner.  Grades will be taken from the following:  tests 25% and quizzes/participation/daily/projects all 75%.

Since this course requires the use of computers, it is important that your student return the “Student Agreement Form for Acceptable Use of Ponder ISD Computer Network”.  No student is allowed computer access until this form is returned so please make sure your child has returned this portion of the registration packet as soon as possible.
