I was born in Michigan and moved to Texas when I was 10 years old. I was raised in Slidell, Texas and played basketball, softvall, volleyball, tennis and ran track during my school year and understand the importance of balancing academics and sports. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University of Denton with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and worked in the corporate world for many years. I went back to school and earned a Graduate Degree in History from TWU in 2005. This will be my 8th year at Ponder Junior High. In addition to teaching history I have taught Reading AEC, Drama and coached UIL Art. My husband and I live in Denton. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy hiking, gardening and traveling. I have visited 42 states and 25 foreign countries. I became interested in history during the 8th grade and I feel blessed to be able to combine my hobby with my career. I especially enjoy studying American, British and World War II history.
