• My name is Dan Ruiz and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher at Ponder Elementary. This is my 18th year teaching at Ponder Elementary and I have a passion for helping students thrive during the learning process. I started out at Ponder Elementary teaching 4th grade for 7 years and the last 10 years I taught 5th grade Math. I've coached UIL Number Sense for 17 years and also have coached TMSCA Number Sense for several years. 
     
    I am a graduate of The University of North Texas...   GO MEAN GREEN!!! 
      
    I believe that your child’s education is one of the most valuable opportunities they will have for their future success. I am excited about the learning experiences your child and I will have this school year! We are going to have a lot of fun exploring new concepts and solidifying ones we have learned about in the past.
