Ponder ISD along with other area school districts will continue to keep closed all schools and facilities until at least Monday, May 4, 2020.PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHOOL IS CONSIDERED AN ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY; THEREFORE, FREE MEALS WILL CONTINUE TO BE AVAILABLE TO EVERY PONDER ISD STUDENT FROM 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, ON WEEKDAYS, AT PONDER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, EVEN WITH THE STAY AT HOME ORDER IN PLACE.

Students will utilize their Chromebooks to access Google Classroom for a daily message and instructional items for the following classes:
Monday/Wednesday: Language Arts & Social Studies
Tuesday/Thursday: Math & Science
Friday: Language Arts - Reading program / extension activities

Students are encouraged to email their teacher for content related questions. Our staff is "on call" during the day as they work from home and attend the needs of their families.
Thank you for your patience this past week as PHS has worked with district administrators and campus staff to plan and train for providing online learning opportunities for our students. As we work through this process in the coming weeks, we will monitor and make adjustments where necessary. Working together allows us the opportunity to make the best, most appropriate decisions for our students, families, and staff members.
Due to school cancellation being extended through Friday, April 3rd, the Ponder High School prom has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 9th at the Denton Fine Arts Council. Eleventh and Twelfth grade students wishing to attend prom may purchase tickets beginning Monday, April 6th and can pick them up through Friday, May 1st. Those students who have already purchased and picked up tickets will be honored. Contact the high school office at 940-479-8210 with any questions.
The 8th annual Ponder Education Foundation Golf Tournament is slated for Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Wildhorse Golf Club at Robson Ranch. The early registration deadline is April 1, 2020. See the tournament flyer below for more information and to register.
Registration packets for the 2019-2020 school year are now available online. The forms can be completed online and printed at home to be returned to the school office or blank forms can be printed at home to be completed manually with pen and paper. Pre-printed paper copies will be available in the school office for families as well.
