Mrs. Dow

Hi! My name is Angie Dow and I will be your 4th grade RLA/Science teacher.  My family and I have been a part of the Ponder community for 23 years, raising our 3 children as Ponder Lions, with our youngest beginning her senior year in high school.  My husband, Eric, and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary.  I am a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a degree in elementary education and an emphasis in literacy.  I have 9 years of elementary teaching experience within the grades of 4th, 3rd and 1st.  I left the classroom for a period to invest more time in raising our children.  I am excited to continue in the classroom and invest in the education of our Ponder students.   

My favorite moment in teaching is seeing the light of learning in the eyes of my students.  As your child’s teacher, I will strive daily to instill confidence in their ability, challenge them to grow in their knowledge, and remind them daily that they are capable of reaching their goals.  Believing in ourselves is the first success in education!
