    A message from Mrs. Watts:

I am a 1989 graduate of Slidell High School. Slidell is just down the road and some of my greatest memories in school were made here in the old Ponder basketball gym.  I graduated in 1992 from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's Degree and in 1999 with my Master's Degree in Special Education. I am a certified educator in my home state of Texas in the areas of Elementary and Secondary Special Education, Elementary Self-Contained, Educational Diagnostician and Principal certification.

I began my career in education in 1993. My first year at Ponder Elementary was 2001. However, I was the Special Education Diagnostician for this school district for two years prior. Before I came to Ponder I taught in the Sanger ISD.  I love watching children grow and learn.

I have been happily married to Brad Watts since 1991 and God has blessed us with two wonderful children, K'Leigh Espedal and her husband Curtis, Brance Watts and his wife Makayla and our grandsons Walker and Wade.
