Welcome! My name is Lucas Taylor and I am the Head Tennis and Assistant Boys Basketball coach, and will teach robotics and mathematics at Ponder Junior High. I grew up in a small town way out in the middle of nowhere called Kermit, where I ran cross country and track and played basketball and tennis until I graduated in 2016. After graduation, I migrated to Denton and studied Mathematics with a minor in Kinesiology at the University of North Texas, where I graduated in December of 2019. When school resumed in August of 2020, after a 6 month layoff due to covid, I began my teaching and coaching career in Pilot Point, where I taught 7th grade math and coached cross country, track, basketball, and tennis for 2 years before arriving in the great city of Ponder! I am very excited to be here and look forward to a great year here at Ponder Junior High!
