The Ponder ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a bond election to address the district’s continued growth. This decision reflects months of thoughtful work and collaboration by the 52-member Ponder ISD Bond Planning Committee, made up of students, staff, families, and community leaders who gave their time and insight to help form a recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
The resulting proposal will appear on the ballot in three propositions, each focused on upgrades at our current facilities as well as preparing for future growth. All of the projects in the proposal can be funded with the existing tax rate. T
he bond election will appear on the ballot Saturday, May 2. Early voting begins Monday, April 20, and concludes Tuesday, April 28. Additional information about the bond proposal will be shared with the community in the coming weeks.
