ponder isd bond

Ponder ISD is celebrating the unofficial results of Saturday’s bond election, where voters approved two of the three propositions, Proposition A and Proposition C, demonstrating strong support for the continued growth and success of the district.

Proposition A represents a comprehensive plan to address student growth, enhance facilities, and prepare for the future. The proposition includes the construction of two new elementary schools, expansion of Ponder High School, and the addition of a multi-purpose educational center at the high school. It also provides for important updates and refreshes to the junior high, upper elementary, and lower elementary campuses.

Additional investments in Proposition A include expansion of the district’s Ag Center, additional tennis courts, and the construction of a new transportation center and administration building. The proposition also includes adding a child care center within an existing district facility, upgrading classroom and districtwide technology infrastructure, completing critical systems replacements, and purchasing land for future schools.

Proposition C focuses on maintaining up-to-date technology for both students and staff through a districtwide student and teacher device refresh.

Superintendent Dr. James Hill expressed sincere appreciation for the Ponder community’s involvement and support throughout the process.

“Our community is truly Made for Greatness ,” Hill said. “Thank you for showing up, making your voices heard, and for the care and commitment you continue to invest in our schools. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.”

The district also extended gratitude to everyone who contributed to the process, including those who voted, served on the planning committee, hosted presentations, and supported the effort in any way.

The Ponder ISD Board of Trustees will officially canvass the election results in the coming days. Additional information and updates will be shared with the community as they become available.

With the passage of Propositions A and C, Ponder ISD continues moving forward with a shared vision, building strong schools and supporting students.
