Ponder 44 In Action

Ponder Junior High parent Michelle Rains recently shared a Ponder 44 moment that touched our hearts.

In the middle of the week, Mrs. Rains received a random email from her daughter, Mackenzie. There was no special occasion and nothing particular had happened that day. Mackenzie simply wanted to say thank you.

She thanked her mom for all she does for her, her siblings, their dad, and their home.

Mrs. Rains shared something so many parents can relate to: “All moms know that momming can sometimes be a thankless job.” That is why receiving a message like this, completely out of the blue, meant so much.

In Mrs. Rains words, it was “incredibly sweet and made my day.”

That is exactly what we hope Ponder 44 becomes: not simply something our Lions learn at school, but values they carry with them into their homes, friendships, teams, and community.

Thank you, Mrs. Rains, for sharing your story. Thank you, Mackenzie, for reminding us that kindness and gratitude matter. And thank you to the PISD teachers and staff who are helping our Lions put these values into action.

🦁 Have you experienced a Ponder 44 moment? Big or small, we would love to hear your story.
