Ponder ISD is proud to celebrate continued academic growth across the district, with the district earning an 84-B accountability rating for the 2025–2026 school year.

The latest results continue a positive upward trend for Ponder ISD. The district’s accountability score has increased from a 73-C in 2022–2023, to a 77-C in 2023–2024, a 78-C in 2024–2025, and now an 84-B in 2025–2026.

That represents an 11-point increase in four years and reflects the continued commitment of Ponder ISD students, teachers, staff, administrators, families, and community.

Each Ponder ISD campus also earned a strong rating for 2025–2026:

  • Ponder Elementary School — 82-B

  • Ponder Junior High School — 82-B

  • Ponder High School — 95-A

Ponder High School’s 95-A rating is an especially exciting accomplishment, while the B ratings at Ponder Elementary and Ponder Junior High demonstrate strong performance throughout the district.

While accountability scores are only one measure of the work happening in Ponder ISD classrooms each day, the continued upward trajectory is something worth celebrating.

The growth represents countless hours of planning, instruction, intervention, collaboration, professional learning, and most importantly, students working hard and rising to the expectations set before them.

Ponder ISD remains committed to building on this momentum and providing every Lion with excellent learning opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff and excited about where we are headed next.

The data will be made available to the public this Friday via www.txschools.gov
