Ponder ISD’s Hope Squad is making a difference this holiday season by leading a district-wide food drive to support our local community food pantries and the Backpack Blessings Program — and they’re not doing it alone!

Thanks to a special partnership with Mr. Lankford’s Agricultural Practicum class, each campus now has a custom-built food collection cart designed and delivered by Ponder High School students. These practical and thoughtful creations will help campuses store and display donations as the food drive competition heats up.

Each campus—Ponder Elementary, Ponder Upper Elementary, Ponder Junior High, and Ponder High School—is joining in with a little friendly competition to see which school can collect the most non-perishable food items!

Families are encouraged to send donations such as mac & cheese, ramen noodles, crackers, canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, and other easy-to-prepare items with their students. Every item helps fill shelves and hearts across our community.

This initiative is a true example of Lions helping Lions—students using their skills, compassion, and teamwork to serve others.

Together, we’re proving once again that greatness happens when we serve others.
