Ponder High School Band Students Advance to Area Round

Ponder ISD is proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by our Ponder High School Band program. Several talented student musicians earned positions in the ATSSB All-Region Band—and in an impressive sweep, every one of them advanced to the Area Round. This accomplishment places them just one step away from the prestigious TMEA All-State Band, one of the highest honors a high school musician can achieve in Texas.

These students have demonstrated remarkable dedication, discipline, and musical excellence. Their advancement reflects countless hours of practice and a deep commitment to their craft. We are proud to recognize the following All-Region honorees:

Hans Bittman – Bass Clarinet, 3A Area, Concert Band
Jadzia Cox – Tuba, 3A Area, Concert Band
Elijah Hooper – Alto Sax, 3A Area, Symphonic Band
Anna Merdan – Trumpet, 3A Area, Concert Band
Bailey Pennington – Clarinet, 3A Area, Concert Band
Katilyn Luther – Clarinet, 3A Area, Concert Band

These remarkable musicians will now compete at the Area level for a chance to earn a coveted spot in the TMEA All-State Band.
