SRO Officer Stanwyck

Ponder ISD is excited to welcome our new School Resource Officer, Officer Marc Stanwyck!

We are grateful to our School Board and Superintendent Dr. Hill for their continued commitment to strengthening safety and security across our district.

Officer Stanwyck joins us from the Ponder Police Department with 30 years of law enforcement experience. He has experience serving as an SRO for seven years and holds multiple advanced certifications, including Master Peace Officer, Mental Health Peace Officer, Certified SRO, and School-Based Law Enforcement credentials. He has proudly served the Ponder community for the past two and a half years.

When asked what inspires his work in school-based policing, Officer Stanwyck shared that his passion comes from wanting every child to feel supported and safe—something he deeply values through personal experience.

He is most excited about Ponder ISD’s growth and the opportunity to continue helping students, staff, and families. His approach is rooted in empathy, approachability, and building positive relationships across our campuses.

A message from Officer Stanwyck:
“Please feel free to reach out—whether it’s just to say hi, share information, or seek resources and assistance. I’m here for you.” 📧 mstanwyck@ponderisd.net

Join us in giving Officer Stanwyck a warm Ponder welcome!
