hopper

Ponder ISD was honored to welcome State Representative Andy Hopper to our district this week. His visit provided a meaningful opportunity to showcase the incredible work happening across our campuses and the pride we take in serving the students and families of Ponder.

Representative Hopper began his visit at Ponder Elementary, where he spent time with our students and staff and saw our bilingual program in action. He was able to observe the engaging learning environment our teachers create each day and the strong support our bilingual learners receive as they grow academically and linguistically.

From there, we shared several of our recent facility upgrades, highlighting the district’s ongoing commitment to safe, welcoming, and innovative learning spaces for all students.

Representative Hopper also toured Ponder High School, where he met with students and staff to learn more about the programs, opportunities, and pathways available to our Lions. From academic offerings to student leadership and extracurricular activities, he saw firsthand the work happening to prepare our students for success after graduation.

We are grateful to Representative Hopper for taking time out of his day to visit Ponder ISD and for his continued support of Texas public schools. Our community is proud of the people, programs, and progress that make Ponder such a special place—and we appreciate the opportunity to share that with him.
