At last night’s Board of Trustees meeting, the Ponder ISD School Board approved the hiring of Daina Hunt as the district’s new Director of Special Education. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Hunt on this well-deserved achievement!
Mrs. Hunt is no stranger to Ponder ISD. She has previously served as Assistant Principal at Ponder High School and, most recently, as Special Education Coordinator for Ponder ISD. In each of these roles, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting students, partnering with families, and collaborating with staff to ensure every student has what they need to be successful.
Mrs. Hunt shared her excitement about stepping into this new chapter, saying:
“I am genuinely honored, humbled, and very excited to get to work, and I appreciate Dr. Hill and the board trusting me with this endeavor.”
We are incredibly thankful for the dedication, expertise, and heart Mrs. Hunt brings to this program. Under her leadership, Ponder ISD will continue to grow and strengthen services for students receiving special education support.
