Ponder 44 isn’t always a grand gesture. Sometimes, it’s helping a classmate get where he needs to go. It’s arriving early and immediately offering to help. It’s making sure a new student feels welcomed. Or it’s simply noticing something needs to be done and doing it without being asked.
Four Ponder ISD students were recently recognized for putting Ponder 44 into action through those everyday moments.
Kinsler McCage, Ponder Junior High, has been helping an injured classmate get where he needs to go each day, including helping him all the way to the field house for athletics.
Jayson Orazco, Ponder High School, arrived early for pictures and, without being asked, immediately offered to help the photographer set up and move equipment.
Sophia, Ponder Elementary, welcomed a new student by introducing herself, shaking his hand, making eye contact and taking the time to learn about him.
Tyler Murell, Ponder Junior High, stayed behind after class to put the chairs back where they belonged. No one had to ask.
Different campuses. Different situations. The same idea: see the moment, choose to act and make a difference.
That’s Ponder 44 in action, and we are proud of these Lions for showing us what it looks like in the everyday moments.
